On Thursday, June 1, 2023 the Republic Agency for Peaceful Settlement of Labor Disputes and the Faculty of Law, University in Kragujevac signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof Dragan Vujsić, LLD, and the Agency Director, Ivica Lazović Ph.D. The goal of this agreement is to establish cooperation by the signatories to contribute to the development, promotion and strengthening of educational, scientific and research capacities of the Republic Agency for Peaceful Settlement of Labor Disputes and the Faculty of Law. The agreement also provides the basis for enabling additional professional advancement of conciliators and arbitrators, but also for promotion of the concept of peaceful settlement of labor disputes among students as the future legal professionals and among the faculty staff, as well. On the same day the Agency Director, Ivica Lazović Ph.D., delivered a lecture to the participants of the legal clinic for administrative law. He is presented the Agency competencies and work results to the participants, as well as advantages of peaceful resolution of labor dispute versus court proceedings. At the same time, he highlighted how important it was for future practicing lawyers to understand the concept of peaceful settlement of labor disputes at the early stage of their education to be able to apply it properly in practice.
