Conciliators and arbiters of the Agency Senad Jašarević PhD, Živko Kulić PhD and Vera Kondić presented the legal institute of peaceful settlement of labour disputes at the Discussion Forum that was held on Friday, October 30 at 6 p.m. in Hall 1A of Belgrade Fair, at exhibition stand of Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.After opening speech of Mr. Mile Radivojević, Director of the Republic Agency for Peaceful Settlement of Labour Disputes, Senad Jašarević PhD explained the importance of peaceful settlement of collective labour disputes, whereas Živko Kulić PhD explained the practice of individual and collective labour disputes. Workplace harassment and mobbing were presented by Vera Kondić, Agency conciliator with over 30 years experience in this field.The Discussion Forum pointed out the importance of affirmation of peaceful settlement of labour disputes since it is an adequate alternative to court procedure. In addition, peaceful settlement of labour disputes is very significant for prevention of radical measures i.e. work stoppage which might increase the costs and at the same time, it might waste considerable resources and time on court procedures.
